The star constellation Capricornus meaning sea goat is located in the 4th quadrant of the Southern hemisphere and was originally cataloged in the 2nd century by Ptolemy. It is the 40th largest constellation in the sky taking up 414 square degrees. It has three stars with planets orbiting them.
Myths
Originating from the Babyonians and sumerians, they knew it as "the goat fish." However the Greeks associated Capricornus with the god "Pan" as he also is part goat. In another version Capricornus is depicted as the goat that suckled Zeus as an infant as he was hiding from his father Cronos.
